Brief Details: IIMC Dhenkanal, was set up in August 1993 as the first branch of IIMC New Delhi, under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting ,Govt. of India.It imparts education and training in journalism and also undertakes media studies and research .Located at a hill side overlooking a picturesque valley on a 7 acre campus , the ainstitute, presently runs two regular P.G.Diploma  Courses in English and Oriya Jourlnalism . It has undertaken various training and Research programmes  including  CNA (Communication Need Assessment) Study for State AIDs Cell and Assessment Study of NGOs working for tribal comunity for Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt. of India.Over 300 alumni of the Institute are aiready working in in leading houses all over the country.

1) Post Graduate Diploma in English Journalism. Seats : 40

2) Post Graduate Diploma in Oriya Journalism. Seats: 15

Admission requirement:

  •    Bachelors Degree in any descipline.

  •    All India written test followed by personal interview.
