Particulars of its organization, functions and duties.

1.         Aims and objectives of the organization:

To render necessary services for the over all  development of women, children, disables and aged in the society. To achieve this aim the Section mainly deals with the following subjects.

1.      Social Security Schemes

2.      Women Welfare

3.      Handicapped Welfare

4.      Child Welfare

5.      I.C.D.S

6.      Nurtrition

7.      Mid day Meal

8.      Mission Shakti

The main duties of this section is to monitor the above programmes at different levels and take suitable measures for successful implementation of the above programmes.

3.                  Brief history & background for establishment.

At the very out set Social Welfare Section was functioning under the control of erstwhile C.D. & R.R Deptt , then under Panchayati Raj Department and functioning under W& C.D Deptt soon after bifurcation of P.R Deptt in to P.R Deptt and W & C.D Deptt.

   Regular monitoring and supervision of different social welfare programmes.

            Issue of Disability Certificate.

            Supply of Special Aids.

            Award of Scholarship to disabled students

            Providing supplementary Nutrition to the Children  &P.W & N.M through ICDS.

            Mid day Meal to the students reading in primary schools i.e. from Class-I to Class.

            The office  is quite open for interaction with the citizens.

13.       Grievance redress mechanism: Each Wednesday & Saturday is the  grievance day. Necessary follow up action is being taken on each grievances within a time limit basing on the gravity of the grievances.
